Switchfoot first came to mainstream attention when four of their songs were included in the 2002 movie A Walk to Remember. In 2008, they also wrote and recorded a song for the film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Switchfoot is made up of Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (keys/guitar) and Drew Shirley (guitar). The band is known for their high energy live shows driven by hard-charging guitar riffs.

Jerome Fontamillas, the band’s touring keyboardist/guitarist since 2000, is 100% Filipino. Born in Pasay City, Philippines, Jerome moved to America when he was just 3 years old. He has been playing music for most of his life and official became a member of the band in 2003.

According to him, from an interview, “It’s hard to say when we got so popular, if in fact we’re really popular. We just love to write and play music. We never would measure our success by how many album sales we have. It’s about connecting to an individual, or a few people, or an arena. We feel the music is for everyone, and if more people are listening because they feel connected somehow to the music and the songs, that is more meaningful to us. “

On April 30, 2011 (Saturday), Switchfoot will be gracing the PhilSports Arena (formerly ULTRA) at 7:30 in the evening with their inspiring, passionate, and driven music. Catch them LIVE IN MANILA as they continue their “Hello Hurricane” tour in the Philippines!
