We spent the afternoon yesterday with the lovely Jessica Sanchez who is back in town to lead the New Year countdown at the Eastwood City on December 31. Joining her at the grand dazzling get-together are Bamboo, Mitoy Yonting with his band Draybers, Up Dharma Down, South Border, and DJ Ace Ramos, with VJ Joyce Pring and radio host Sam YG.

The extremely talented young singer had actually started her career when she was 10 years-old as she joined the first season of America's Got Talent and had failed to go on to the finals but despite this she had continued on singing at a number of huge events in the US and had released a couple of singles too before joining the American Idol which had gained her 1st runner up spot and international recognition.

Sanchez shared to us how her year has been with highs and lows. Her highs being traveling, performing, her album release and lows being her goals not being reached. We talked about how her goals not being reached is okay since at her young age, she can still work on them in the coming years. Next thing we talked about was New Year Resolutions since we are indeed starting a new year in less than a day. "My New Year Resolutions this year would be one, is to learn Tagalog, and second one is learn how to drive."

This hardworking, self-proclaimed workaholic has actually never been on a holiday. She dreams of visiting the beaches of Boracay and Palawan.

When asked what's in store for Jessica Sanchez in 2014 she says, "I wanna be more authentic in my album. I wanna write a little bit more. Be creative. Have more input." So we can all look forward to an album that feels and sounds more like Jessica Sanchez.

She shares her message for our fellow Filipinos who are going through a tough time during the holidays, "Stay safe, stay strong and I love you guys so much."

You can catch more of Jessica Sanchez at the Eastwood City New Year Countdown to 2014 with Bamboo, Up Dharma Down, Mitoy Yonting, South Border and DJ Ace Ramos on December 31, 6PM at Eastwood Mall Open Park. Besides the rockin' performances by the music stars, you'll also get to enjoy a grand fireworks display following the Dazzling Star Drop when then clock strikes 12 to welcome the new year.

New Year Countdown merchandise proceeds will be donated to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda so in joining the celebrations, you'll also be doing your part in helping those who are in need.

We have Megaworld Lifestyle Malls to thank for this exciting event. See you all there as we bring in the New Year in style!
