Youtube Sensation and The Voice Season 6 finalist Christina Grimmie visited Manila for the first time to promote her latest single Must Be Love. She also performed on three exclusive shows for Ayala Malls.

The 20-year-old singer’s fame initially took off when she became a YouTube Sensation through covering hits of artists like Miley Cyrus, Jason Mraz and Bruno Mars. Her most recent stretch to fame was when she auditioned for The Voice and landed all the four judges’ vote through her rendition of Wrecking Ball. Though she only finished at third place her career is still taking off because of her breathtaking vocals and relatable personality.

During her Ayala Mall press conference held last October 3 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Makati City, Christina Grimmie performed one of her first EP - “With Love” for the members of the Philippine Media.

Christina also mentioned during the press conference that though this is her first time visiting Asia and the Philippines, she has always been curious about her Filipino fans because of the overwhelming positive feedback they have been giving her through her social media accounts. She also spilled that her pre show rituals include listening to metal music (Metallica being her top choice) to pump her energy before a show.

Manila showed their support to the YouTube Sentation and The Voice Finalist when a packed crowd welcomed her in all her mall shows held at the following Ayala Malls - Ayala Town Center, Glorietta (Oct. 4) and TriNoma (Oct. 5).

Christina Grimmie performed her famous cover songs like Hold on, We’re Going Home, Titanium and Wrecking Ball.  The crowd went wild as they sang along to these hits. She also sang Must Be Love, her latest single to the Filipino crowd. She was also very responsive to the crowd and was acknowledging every scream! She even stretched her arms out to the fans a couple of times. In between her performances she mentioned how overwhelmed she is about the positive attention her Filipino fans have been giving her. She also performed With Love an original song that she wrote years back that is dedicated to her avid fans.

There is no denying that Christina has captured the Filipino crowd perfectly with her quirky personality on and off stage and amazing talent. She definitely has a strong fan base here in the Philippines and her Filipino fans would be looking forward to her next visit.

Christina Grimmie Live In Maila is presented by Music Management International and Ayala Malls.
