Now, you don’t have to wait for LaBoracay anymore just to have an excuse to party and dig your toes in to the sand. We still can’t get over the fun that was Soul Surf 2014! It was definitely one of the best beach breaks we’ve had this year.

Both International and Local acts kept the vibes good all throughout the weekend.

Our favorite acts from Soul Surf 2014:

Matthew Thomas Masurka, better known by his stage name Gigamesh, is a Minneapolis-based American three-time multi-platinum selling music producer and DJ. Gigamesh is most recognized for having produced Mike Posner's multiplatinum selling track "Cooler Than Me" as well as his remix of Foster the People's single "Pumped Up Kicks" (which currently has over 4.5 million plays on YouTube). Prior to launching his solo career, Masurka was also involved in two other collaborative projects,

Discotech and Señor Stereo, both alongside DJs Danny Daze and Joe Maz. Gigamesh releases include an EP on (Kitsuné) and a single and two EPs on OurLabel International. In the spring of 2013 he released the single, 'Enjoy,' on NYC house label Nurvous Records. Touring internationally, he has performed in Asia, Australia, Europe, and across North America.

Panic City

Panic City is one of dance music’s fastest rising producers. The 26-year-old San Francisco native first built his reputation behind the turntables as one of the city's most skilled and sought-after DJ's. Now rising in the EDM producer ranks, his music is making waves on the internet, being played by top DJ's worldwide, and now performs in different cities nationally.

Within 3 years he went from teaching himself how to produce to doing official remixes for the likes of Far East Movement and Chris Brown. His Drake & Rihanna "Take Care" remix was featured on HypeBeast and his original electro track Ancient Aliens earned him a slot as the #2 emerging artist on Wearehunted.

His biggest track of 2011 was his chart-topping remix of Steve Aoki & Afrojack's "No Beef", garnering over 7k likes on the HypeMachine popular charts.

Thomas Jack
Hailing from Bemboka, Australia is rising star Thomas Jack. At only 20 years old, Thomas’ future is shining as bright as the music he creates. His hit single “Final Speech” led him to a viral tear on top of the HypeM charts where he continued a successful run with follow up tracks such as his stellar remix for Of Monsters and Men “Little Talks” and the extra smooth remix for Adrian Lux’s hit single ”Teenage Crime”. Like the oceans surrounding Thomas’ backyard his music ebbs and flows, sometimes unpredictably but always beautifully.

His sets are filled with pleasure and happiness. Sax, flutes, trumpets, you name it, Thomas brings in the jazz orchestra for a unique style suitable for the masses. Still developing as an artist, Thomas will continue to grow and surprise us everyday.

On it 9th year, we hope that this festival keeps growing and gets better. Make sure not to miss the Dishwalla concert this coming December 6!
