Let’s get it out of the way, shall we?

No…there was no disastrous moment during the Mariah show. If you expected a mishap something similar to the videos that surfaced during her Korean leg, there was none of that. As in zero. Zilch. Wala. In fact, Mariah proved that she still has it. The diva maneuvered through her 2 hour show with ease and confidence – boldly showcasing the voice that made her an incomparable star. Though some parts may be challenging to her, that didn’t matter as fans and followers of the elusive chanteuse cheered her on.

And the Grammy-winner reciprocated the cheers with show-stopping numbers and touching messages. “It's so good to be here tonight,” Mariah said, “I just want to thank you guys so much for being so incredible.”
No Mariah…you were incredible.

Starting the show with “Fantasy”, Mariah went full throttle with her setlist. With a show chockfull of her biggest hits, it truly was a blast from start to finish. From soaring numbers like “My All”, “Emotions”, “Fly Like A Bird” to R&B staples like “Honey” and “Heart Breaker”, Mariah and her band gave it their all. Making sure everything was on point and on the money.

Some surprises of the night included Mariah singing “I’ll Be There” together with Trey Lorenz, her original back-up singer in this iconic MTV Unplugged track. And yes, she belted the best parts. Another, her very emotional rendition of “Hero” which featured a salute to famous trail blazers such as Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Marilyn Monroe among others. Special too was Mariah’s performance of “Supernatural” which had her babies do a quick cameo from the audience. Ultimately ending with her monstrous hits, “We Belong Together” and “Always Be My Baby”.

If there’s anything to be taken from the concert, it’s that Mariah truly proves that she is indeed a force to be reckoned with. Stamping the undeniable fact that no one can do what she can and only Mariah can do a Mariah.

Indeed, amazing talent triumphs over any controversy.

Thank you and congratulations Wilbros Live!
