Korean pop music fans were in a euphoric high as Korean boygroup VIXX performed at the Mall of Asia Arena last May 2, 2015 for the LIVE FANTASTIA in MANILA UTOPIA TOUR.

It was utopia indeed at the Mall of Asia Arena as the six-member boygroup from South Korea, composed of Leo, Hongbin, Ravi, N, Hyuk, and Ken, captivated Filipino Starlights (name of VIXX fans) with their powerful dance moves, strong vocal performances, and hilarious antics on stage.
The concert opened with On and On, to the deafening screams of fans, and was followed by more heavy dance tracks Voodoo Doll, Light Up the Darkness, and Secret Night.

After that hyped-up set, the boys introduced themselves one by one. Some of the members spoke in Tagalog, like Ken, as he greeted the crowd, “Hi, ako po si Ken. Mahal ko kayo!” The boys expressed their delight in holding their first concert in the Philippines, with N relaying, “This is our first time in the Philippines. It happened because of our fans. Thank you so much.” Hongbin also confessed to eating all the fruits in the Philippines, with mangoes as his top pick.

The solo stage of Ken, Ravi, and Hyuk came up next, showcasing each member’s talents. Ken wowed the crowd with an impeccable cover of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, while Ravi gave his swag with Ghost, and Hyuk charmed everybody with his piano-playing in Call You Mine.
For the next set, the boys returned to the stage wearing red suits, and performed more of their dance tracks, such as Say U Say Me and Rock Ur Body, before talking to the crowd again. The second talk portion showed the playful side of VIXX as each member entertained the crowd with their “exercise game.” Some of the cute antics of the boys include Hyuk dancing to the tune of Jessie J’s Bang Bang, Leo doing high kicks, Hongbin and N dancing sensually, Ravi doing aegyo, and Ken belting out some tunes.

VIXX then slowed things down as they serenaded the fans with Love Letter and Someday before the solo stages of Leo, Hongbin, and N. During the last batch of solo stages, Leo performed the sweet song Words to Say, Hongbin gave a fiery dance solo, while N danced fiercely with blindfolds.
Regrouping once more, VIXX returned onstage this time with lustrous golden outfits for the performances of hyde, Beautiful Killer, and Eternity. For the encore, the boys changed their outfits into sweatshirts and by this time everybody in the crowd was on their feet and jumping as VIXX engaged the crowd with hits like Error and Love Equation. At this point, the members were all over the stage, waving to fans and posing for the cameras, while the fans cheered with their fan chants and waved their red lightsticks.

But as the fans couldn’t seem to get enough, sadly, all great things come to an end. Starlights were saddened when N announced, “This is our last song. Philippines, thank you so much for coming here tonight. Please sing along.” Other members expressed their love and gratitude to their Filipino fans before capping the night with the performance of GR8U.

All in all, the concert lived up to its tour name because in those two precious hours, Filipino Starlights lived in a utopic world where VIXX was creating memories with them, and the sea of red blurred the line between fantasy and reality.

VIXX Live Fantasia in Manila Utopia Tour is presented by Pulp Live World, in cooperation with 28 Bank.
